Life as a Car

Life as a Car

Traveling hard
Not far
Back to forth
Beginning to end

Time to gas up
Need fuel
Check engine light
Maintenance required

The rush
Running late
Running hot
Bending needle

Living on fume
Engine gunked
Can’t breathe, Can’t move. Can’t stop.
Choking on exhaust

Forever to go
Though so close
Gotta make it
Back to start

  1. This poem is so thoughtful, especially that last stanza. I wonder what it means, trying to make it back to “start.” The start of existence before life (birth and death) or the mirage of trying to relive the past.

    Lovely work! ❤
